Landscape and Viewpoints

From the top of the highest mountain, from the top of an elevation that stands out in the peneplain, from the elevation where a hermitage was implanted or from the towers or the adarve of any castle, we have magnificent conditions to peer into an endless horizon where the white houses from a distant settlement stand out.

To the north, almost always the faint outline of the Beira mountains. To the east, lands and mountains of Spain.
To the south, the gliding of the peneplain until it bumps into the Serra de Ossa. To the West, the shallow line where, each evening, the sun plunges painted with the warm colours it left on the cork-oak forests. A selection of both formal and informal viewpoints helps in a landscape reading, always clockwise.
